On behalf of our fine members, welcome to our forum. We are glad you found us.

While there are many larger gun forums on the internet,  we believe the quality of our members is second to none..

We encourage you to join in whether you wish to kick around some questions about guns, ammo or gear or just want to participate in some good discussions that impact all of us as citizens of this great country.

We have a wide array of members who are not only experts on various firearms, but our members are well versed on a wide array of subjects. We encourage lively but respectful discussions much as you would have with friends over a cup of coffee or a cold drink. If you have been around gun forums in the past, you may recognize some old friends you have seen around the internet forum community.

In order to deter spammers and spambots, all memberships must be approved by one of our Administrators so please be patient. New members are generally approved quickly but there can be delays if none of our top staff folks are online at the time you first register.

First post , some about me , I am 65 and have spent three years in the Army , I was in assault weapons platoon , I have qualified on m1 m14 and the 4.2 and 81 mm mortor and have fored expert on the 90 mm self propelled gun a M56 spat, and also fired expert on a M48 Patton tank . 50 Cal machine gun and also 30 cal machine gun I have had several fire arms but am with out at the present time , it seems finances are against me at the present time but am looking to buy a side arm this spring , I also qualified with a  45 cal pistol but I did not so well as the side arms were in bad shape and were not acurate at all, the worst pistol I have ever seen . At the range when we had already made the course we were firing just for practice and fun and I had a selector switch on my m14 and sure unloaded many clips at once that day . Love to shoot , I also like a bow they are good also .

I just got over a bout with the old blood pressuer and have it under control I love to shoot the bow ,it is an antique weapon but effective on deer and other small animals , could also be used as a defense weapon in the right circumstance and yes I love to target practice it is fun . when the money comes I will be out there on the range . I also have 400 acres I have access to and can shoot up there in the summer months that is if the deer will leave me alone .  you can drive by them when it is not deer season and they won't move and you can stop and see them up close they donot run , they have a sense about when the killing season is in. they sure are hard to find then !

I am from the days of the semi and full recurve era.

Instinctive shooter. Pre sight era (so called free style).

If anyone  owns a gun built by Len Woodruff (my grandfather) I would be interested in seeing pictures OR possibly purchasing.  He built custom rifles from 1940's til 1990's.  -Thanks

I know I am new but I would like to have a assembly schematic of a AK 47 Romanian made GP WASR-10-63.  Other than that I am 64 Years young Served in the U.S. Marines for 3 1/2 Years. Smiley
