Site Issues

For those of you who do not know me... I'm Sangrun's work buddy that took over the technical side of things for this place when he passed away... I'm no professional but I do have a few of these places and helped do the original build... actually like 90% of it in this iteration (when we moved from vbulliton to SMF.)
As you all may have noticed the site has had some issues in the past 2 weeks. It would have been resolved faster however my e-mails from Custer were going to my spam folder and I normally don't check that... must have been a work policy shift... after he called me I got right on it... however it was complex and took about a week :-(
If you have issues logging in...
tell it "I forgot my password" even if you had done it before... ESPECIALLY of you had done it before actually since that is why you are haveing the problem now. There was an issue with the way the passwords and validation e-mails were being done... so if you are flagged as having forgotten your password and it never let you validate it was really you... the acct is STILL flagged for validation... and your validation code is "bogus" useless stuff that doesn't match what the website wants... a NEW code will resolved that.
Really sorry about the long delay... it took almost 400 people reading my plea for help on the support forums before we finally sorted it all out... it really was that complex and they are still not sure how it happened.

Ditto! It can be a thankless job to support a forum from the goodness of your heart

I don't suffer from insanity. I rather enjoy it.

Lets hope there is no "next time" RB. And yes, many thanks Klemvore. You have kept a great big family together thanks to all of your hard work!

I am glad we don't have more glitches from time to time.
We are a "volunteer" forum and very fortunate to have Klemvore's professional help.
We are just not going to have the firepower associated with a forum with advertisers and various fund raisers.
What we do have is a nice group of people with almost no friction.
